Whether you want to catch flounder, catch that trophy speckled trout, hunt tackle busting redfish, chase migrating cobia, wrestle brawny red snapper, or even angle for that record blue marlin, our area fishing guides and charter captains will put you on some of the best saltwater fishing in the United States. Most fishing guides will provide everything you need for your trip except sunscreen and bug spray. Be respectful of the captain and crew and heed their wishes. Remember, these guys make a living fishing. If you get to the dock and the captain recommends staying in, heed his advice. Check the weather for your charter beginning a week in advance. It is better to miss the trip and reschedule than to put the captain in the odd position of putting his charter in danger. Also, deck hands and mates work for tips. They will handle your fish and bait all day and then clean your catch in most circumstances. Show your gratitude. $.50 to $1.00 per pound of fish cleaned is usually standard but it is best to ask the captain when you book your charter. Also, while a lot of captains allow you to bring alcohol on to your charter, remember that the captains is responsible for you and your safety. Be responsible.
